Free Native Plants for your garden
Using local native plants in your garden can attract native wildlife, are better suited to the local soil type and require less water than introduced plants.
Ratepayers from the following suburbs only are invited to pickup four free native plants:
- Cherrybrook
- Normanhurst
- Thornleigh
- Wahroonga
- Waitara
- Westleigh
Conditions
- Current rates notices and appropriate identification must be shown on the day to be eligible for plants.
- Plants can only be issued to the residents named on the rates notice and are strictly four (suburban areas) or six (rural areas) plants per household.
- Residents from outside these areas identified are NOT entitled to free plants at this time.
- Hornsby Shire residents are only eligible for plants.
- Limited stock available on the day.
